Hats Off to You! Contest Official Rules
APPLICABLE ONLY IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES. ENTRY INTO THIS PROMOTION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE PROMOTION RULES. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. CONTEST DESCRIPTIONS
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Chubby Girl Records, Inc. (“Sponsor”) is sponsoring the Hats Off to You Contest Giveaway (“Contest”), a skill contest in which participants prepare and submit an idea on suggested topics addressing a question provided by Sponsor. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to enter the Contest, you must be a legal U.S. resident who is above the age of majority. You must also have access to the Internet and a valid email address to enter the Contest. Employees, officers, and directors of Chubby Girl Records, Inc., and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies and their immediate families and those living in their households, are not eligible to participate in the promotion. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
3. PROMOTION PERIOD
The Promotion begins at midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) on November 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on May 1, 2009 (“Promotion Period”). All eligible entry forms must be completed and submitted electronically (at the email address listed below) by the end of the promotion period.
4. SPONSOR
Chubby Girl Records, Inc. (“CGR”), located at 2110 Artesia Blvd., #406, Redondo Beach, CA 90278 is the sponsor of the Contest (“Sponsor”).
5. HOW TO ENTER
To enter, you must send an email to hatcontest@chubbygirlrecords.com between the dates specified in the promotion period. For your Official Entry to be considered eligible, your email submission must contain your name, address, phone number, email address and you must provide an essay response.
Only one entry per person per household. All entries become the property of Sponsor. Entries will not be returned or acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due mail or e-mail, or for any computer-related, online, telephonic, or technical malfunctions that may occur. Entries are void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, altered, counterfeit, produced in error, or obtained through fraud or theft. By entering you agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
6. JUDGING
Chubby Girl Records will judge each entry based on creativity 50% and appropriateness to theme 50%. The top ten entrants that receive the highest overall scores will be selected as potential Grand Prize winners. The potential winners will be selected and notified by email on or about July 1, 2009. The Judges decisions are final with respect to all aspects of the Contest.
7. PRIVACY
Sponsor will be collecting personal data about participants when they submit their email entry. Please review Chubby Girl Records’ Privacy Policy
8. WINNER
Grand Prizes: Sponsor will award one (1) Grand Prize to the 10 entrants who receive the highest score on their entry. Winner will receive One Whittall & Shon hat from their 2009 Collection. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) $170.00. (*Hat modeled in promotional materials for illustration purposes only*) All decisions on matters pertaining to the Promotion are final. Limit one prize per person, family or household. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
9. Condition of Participation
By entering this contest, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. You confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements listed herein. You agree that all federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. By registering for the Contest, you agree that these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for, and winners consent to Sponsor and its agencies to use the winning entries and the names and/or likenesses of the winning entry for advertising and promotional purposes, in any media now known or hereafter devised, without further notice, compensation, consideration, review, or consent, and without regard to moral rights, unless prohibited by law.
To the extent permitted by law, all registered participants of the Contest agree to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Contest and/or use or acceptance of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of the prize. If, in Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsor or its agents. You may be prohibited from participating in this Contest if Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reasonably believes that you have attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices, or annoys, abuses, threatens, or harasses any other participants, Sponsor, or associated agencies. The prize will be delivered by ground shipping within the United States within 8-9 weeks after winner notification. No prize transfer, assignment or substitution by winner permitted. Chubby Girl Records reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute the prize for a prize of equal value should all or part of a prize become unavailable for any reason. If a Grand Prize winner declines the prize, fails to claim the prize, is unavailable for prize fulfillment, or fails to abide by the Official Rules, Sponsor may select an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries.
10. LAWS
This Promotion is governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to the conflicts of law provisions. Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by laws, including but not limited to jurisdictions with laws that would require registration, disclosure, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond or any other requirements that are not satisfied by these terms and conditions.
11. WINNERS LIST
To obtain the names of the Grand Prize winners, send a request, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Chubby Girl Records, 2110 Artesia Blvd., #406, Redondo Beach, CA 90278.
